Samhain

I have finished my second night shift of seven. I wanted some Spooky halloween pictures. I reblogged the pumpkin from last year, and the witches familiar Ziggy from my sisters house.

Went online tonight with my son to try to find a free scary Halloween background to use as a desktop image on our computer. We couldn’t find any we really liked so we made our own. We had also worked hard today putting together a spooky Halloween prop out on the front lawn to scare the kids during trick or treat. I took a few pictures with my digital camera and sized them to fit two popular desktop screen sizes.
The skeleton leaning against an old whiskey keg is part of our pirate ship theme, with chains, barrels, barbwire, and demonic blue lighting. This scary scene is actually some what believable (like a Hollywood prop) so we are very proud of ourselves. My son is only 4 so when the sun went down, and the outdoor spotlight cast spooky shadows, he asked to go back inside. Veeeeery scary!
Here is our free Halloween Background in two different sizes. Click on a link below to open, then right button click on it again and “save as wallpaper”.
Halloween Background: Size 800 x 600
Halloween Background: Size 1024 x 768
New: Halloween Background: Size 1280 x 800 for LCD Laptop Resolutions
I highly suggest you look around your yard, garage or barn this season and make your own “themed” Halloween scene. If you have some good images, send them to me @ home2garden[@]gmail.com and I will add them to this halloween desktop background page.
