These are "Very Berry" wintergreen seeds..... I planted them in a peaty seed starting mix, threw them into a plastic baggie and put them into the fridge with the rose seeds already there.
I also planted hosta "New American Hybrids" mix into peat pellets in a cool window sill.

I forgot to mention yesterday that I received a big padded envelope from Pinetree Garden Seeds yesterday in the mail. Inside were the sprouting jar lids so that I can grow some yummy nutritious sprouts in my kitchen inside during the winter since FREYA won't let me eat the lettuce I grew that was intended FOR ME during the winter. Freya will NOT be able to get the sprouts, of this I am sure. I am

Outside the secrets are revealing themselves again and this time without the need for snow. The word of FREE EATS must have gotten out amidst the rabbit world and I am going to have to protect choice plants. Blueberries are being chewed back on the stems, something that if they were a heck of a lot bigger I wouldn't mind so much but they

Last night when I got home from a pretty rough night at work and a long slippery drive home, there was a package on my doorstep. Now, I was THRILLED to see this package. After all, it was the thing that kept me going last night. "Maybe there will be a package on the doorstep!," I kept telling myself. And Lo
